NFA Burger, the lauded burger spot located inside a Dunwoody Chevron station, is set to open its first full-service restaurant in Alpharetta this spring.

Located at 3180 Avalon Blvd. in the Avalon mixed-use development, the new NFA Burger will offer its regular menu including the Billy’s Classic, a double smash burger with American cheese, pickles, mustard and “sassy” sauce, other burger options, hot dogs, tots, fries, grilled cheese sandwiches and Liege waffles.

Beverage options new to the Avalon location include milkshakes, beer, wine and liquor.

The counter service space, which was formerly home to Israeli restaurant Rina, will feature indoor seating, an outdoor patio, a bar, TVs and a walk-up window for to-go orders.

Dunwoody resident Billy Kramer opened NFA Burger in late 2019, after years of documenting some of Atlanta’s top burgers on his @billysburgers Instagram account. He started out doing pop-ups at restaurants including Battle & Brew in Sandy Springs and Galla’s in Chamblee before deciding to take a gamble on a 100-square-foot space inside a gas station for his first brick-and-mortar eatery.

“While expanding NFA has been on my mind for years, I’ve been adamant that I’ll only open another location if it’s the right opportunity,” Kramer said in a prepared statement. “When I was approached by Avalon, it felt fortuitous — I’ve long been a fan of Avalon’s walkability and focus on great local food.”

NFA Burger joins more than 20 other food and beverage concepts at Avalon including Oak Steakhouse, Antico Pizza, Cru Food and Wine Bar, Rumi’s Kitchen and Superica.
