Restaurant residency Boodle Fight will debut Feb. 14 in the Brick & Mortar space at Pullman Yards in Kirkwood.
The concept from chef Dave Devina is named for the Filipino ‘boodle fight’ tradition that describes a large gathering of people eating a variety of foods from banana leaves with their hands.
Boodle Fight “is all about rebellion against formality and celebrating raw camaraderie,” according to a news release. The menu, which will be the same each night, will include dishes like milkfish, shrimp skewers, barbecue beef skewers, lechon pork belly, chicken inasal, lumpia, salted duck egg, garlic rice and pickled green papaya,
Boodle Fight chef Dave Denina grew up in Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines and has worked at restaurants in California and Atlanta.
“Cooking has always been more than a job for me – it’s my language, my art, and my way of bringing joy to others,” Devina said in a prepared statement.
Boodle Fight will be open on Fridays in a dedicated space as Brick & Mortar remains open alongside it. Reservations are available starting Friday, Feb. 14 for $75 per person, with 16 seats available per service. Bookings are also available for Feb. 21 and Feb. 28, with March dates to launch soon.
Cheffrey’s Kitchen, Brick & Mortar’s fall restaurant residency, is set to return in the spring.
