Comfort food restaurant Blue Ribbon Grill has reopened at a new location in the Embry Hills neighborhood. The team behind the eatery also opened European concept Jenovelle next door.

Blue Ribbon Grill had operated on Lavista Road in Tucker since 1985. The most recent owners, husband and wife Eric and Jennifer Greene, purchased the restaurant in 2021, but decided earlier this year to relocate after the rent was increased.

They found a new home for Blue Ribbon Grill at 3352-C Chamblee Tucker Road in the North Hills Shopping Center, and the Greenes decided to open Jenovelle next door with a breakfast and lunch menu of Eastern and Western European foods.

Blue Ribbon’s updated design pays homage to the restaurant’s opening year with photos of the top movie and album from ‘85, a framed photo of cassette tapes and VHS, and Blue Ribbon memorabilia.

The Greenes kept the dinner menu the same, but pared down the brunch and breakfast offerings. Expect comfort food like meatloaf, chicken pot pie, chicken fried steak, a patty melt and burgers. Alcohol will be served in the coming weeks once the restaurant gets its liquor license, Greene said.

Jenovelle is styled after an outdoor European market with flower boxes, European art and a gift shop. The breakfast and lunch menus feature food from around Europe including chamomile French toast, a pot of breakfast tea served with a croissant, a Scotch egg, Hungarian goulash, bangers and mash and Albanian rice balls.

In the evening, Jenovelle offers macarons, pastries and desserts as well as gifts.

Jenovelle and Blue Ribbon Grill are open 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-10 p.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays; 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-11 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays; and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays.
