UPDATE: This restaurant was re-inspected Friday and received an 87/B.

The report noted new violations including “no toilet tissue” in the women’s restroom and no paper towels in the men’s restroom. It also said that a passing score from September was displayed instead of the recent failed food inspection report.

ORIGINAL (published March 13): The kitchen at a private school failed a recent health inspection, with officials noting a dead roach in a prep sink and two live roaches near another sink.

Romar Academy, a pre-K through sixth grade private school located in East Point, scored a 44/U following the Friday evaluation; 69 and below is considered failing.

According to the report, there were raw shelled eggs stored directly on top of cooked green beans in a cooler.

Officials also reported observing a failure to provide active managerial control or a certified food safety manager.

Messages left with the school were not immediately returned Monday.

Follow-up inspections are generally completed within 10 days of the original evaluation.
