The Perimeter is struggling to recover from a few earlier wrecks, stifling traffic during this mostly dry and sunny evening commute.
Broken glass on the Outer Loop at I-75 in Cobb Cobb had much of the northwest Perimeter jammed earlier today, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. All but one lane was closed to remove the glass.

DeKalb is having a rough afternoon with much of the northeast Perimeter moving at a crawl, according to the Traffic Center.
Johns Creek police have closed East Abbotts Bridge Road at Boles Road due to a wreck, the department said in a tweet.
Isolated showers have mostly died off quickly around metro Atlanta this afternoon, according to Channel 2 Action News. Much of North Georgia is expected to stay dry Wednesday as a low-pressure system is on its way out of the state.
There’s still a chance of scattered storms in metro Atlanta this evening, but it’s a low 30 percent.

The rain and clouds should keep temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s today, but drier air on the way means Thursday and Friday will be hotter.
“Temperatures stay two to four degrees cooler than average today, but warm to the 90s starting (Thursday),” Minton said.
