Although moose are generally camera-shy and prefer the Maine woods to tourists, an occasional bull or cow sighting is still a thrill, even for Mainers.

A crusty crustacean: Before the butter, a diner pets a live "lob-stah" at Anglers Restaurant in Searsport. Owner Buddy Hall can occasionally be talked into kissing a lobster or teaching one to do a somersault.
