Who doesn't love a travel bargain?
Today it's United Airline's turn to create the buzz with an extremely rare airfare sale to one of the most beautiful spots in America -- Lake Tahoe. This sparkling alpine lake is situated on the Nevada and California state border and is surrounded by mountains on all sides. The area around the lake is referred to as simply Tahoe.
The Tahoe region is famous for its great ski resorts (Northstar and Heavenly, for example) and casino action on the south side of the lake. This year-round playground is certain to please any age traveler. Discover more at www.visitinglaketahoe.com .
United offers a one-way sale rate of $89 to Reno, Nev. which are valid for travel now through March 8, 2011 or again from May 2-Oct. 7, 2011.
To qualify, purchase at least one week in advance. Travel is permitted any day of the week. There are no blackout dates to avoid. However, without a ticket-by date this sale rate could vanish at any moment. Act fast on your purchase.
Sale fares listed here are subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase. I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel Web sites such as Expedia or Travelocity, etc.
The drive time from the Reno Airport is from 40-60 minutes depending on your destination around the lake. Although this drive can take twice as long when you factor in how often you'll stop to admire the stunning scenery and make pictures.
