Fall is a beautiful season of bountiful pumpkins and colorful leaves. But it also marks the beginning of one of Georgia’s most fun pastimes — corn mazes.

Make the most out of the season by visiting one of these southern hot spots, just don’t get lost when you get there. It’s going to be a fun fall.

Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze

Located on Bannister Road in Dawsonville, Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze comes equipped with a 15-acre maze that is different every year. The operation also offers a haunted trail, pumpkin patch, fall decorations, face painting, a kid-friendly maze, gem mining, festival food, wagon rides and even a corn cannon.

“Uncle Shuck’s maze is designed to be challenging, but still allow visitors to exit at any time that they wish,” the company’s website said. “An average journey will take as little as 30 minutes to complete one maze, or as long as 2 hours to complete both mazes.”

Southern Belle Farm

Another classic Georgia maze can be found at McDonough’s Southern Belle Farm. Visitors flock to the farm in the spring to pick strawberries, in the summer to pick peaches and around Christmas for precut Fraser Fir trees. For the fall, however, Georgia residents travel to the 303-acre working farm for a festival worth of fun.

The farm features over 20 outdoor attractions, pumpkin patches and a four-acre corn maze.

“The Carter family and Southern Belle Farm have been blessed beyond measure over these last 80 years and it is our desire to open up our farm to allow others to have a taste of the good life on the farm and receive education about agriculture and its importance to the health and well-being of our county, state, nation, and world in a wholesome and safe environment,” the farm’s website said. “It is our desire to be good stewards of the resources the Lord has blessed us with and at the same time be able to remain on this land and share it with others. We hope you will be able to visit us soon.”

Buford Corn Maze

For those in the Buford area, Buford Corn Maze has an incredible amount to offer. From a petting zoo of pigs and chickens to pony rides to a pumpkin patch, the farm has far more to offer beyond the maze itself.

“Founded in 2008, the Buford Corn Maze is located on a 32-acre family farm that dates back to the early 1800s,” the farm’s website said. “The Winnie Roberts Tutton Farm, passed from generation to generation in the family.

“The Millers and Beggs have grown the business from a “broken-down pickup truck and a tent” to one of the most popular corn maze entertainment venues in the state and even the USA — as Buford Corn Maze has been recognized by Country Living magazine as one of the top corn mazes anywhere in the country.”

Sleepy Hollow Farm

Located in Powder Springs, Sleepy Hollow Farm is perhaps best known for one of its several escape rooms — Hopper’s cabin from the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things” — but the farm is also fully equipped with pumpkin patches, children’s games, animals and a wonderful corn maze.

“This fall bring your whole family out to Sleepy Hollow Farm for some fresh air and fall fun,” the farm’s website said. “During the daytime take a tractor ride with your family or friends around our farm, explore our corn maze, and then pick out your perfect pumpkins to add to your decorations inside and out. To get to our pumpkin patch you will need to purchase general admission tickets. We also have different fun kids games in our farm playground and farm animals.”
