Atlanta Hawks launches ‘dedicated travel hub’ with Hotels.com

The Atlanta Hawks and Hotels.com announced on Thursday that the two organizations have entered a multiyear partnership. Moving forward, Hotels.com will be the official travel agency for the local State Farm Arena and Georgia’s premier basketball team.

Through Hotels.com/Hawks, Hotels.com will provide customers will discounts on hotels for events at State Farm Arena. Atlanta Hawks season tickets holders will also receive special discount codes, which can be used through Hotel.com’s travel rewards program One Key.

“Our brands are both believers in the experience economy and of the mindset that the best memories are often made together in person,” Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena executive vice president and chief revenue officer Andrew Saltzman said in a press release. “Working with an amazing team like Hotels.com to make travel to Hawks games and State Farm Arena events even more enjoyable for our fans and attendees is rewarding.”

While Hotels.com has been the official travel partner of the NBA for three seasons, the Atlanta Hawks are the first team to have a direct partnership with the travel website.

“State Farm Arena sets a high standard for fan experience and through this exciting partnership, we’re thrilled to extend our premium traveler experience to fans with a trusted platform and incredible accommodations for every type of trip on Hotels.com,” Expedia Group vice president of strategic partnerships and affiliates Clayton Nelson said in a news release.

As part of the new partnership, Hotels.com will be promoted through the State Farm Arena’s three-sided marquee, a 42-foot tall and 88-ton digital display. The travel website will also be promoted on StateFarmArena.com. The Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena will also each receive access to potentially insightful first-party, AI-driven data from Hotels.com’s parent company, Expedia Group, to “improve their own fan experiences.”
