Will you run for chocolate? If so, the Atlanta Hot Chocolate Run is the race for you. Choose a 5K or 15K distance for the run taking place on Sunday, Feb. 2, in downtown Atlanta, and you’ll receive plenty of chocolaty rewards.
Each race course takes you past notable Atlanta landmarks, and whichever you choose, you’ll run by Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Georgia World Congress Center and the Georgia Aquarium. Opt for the 15K distance, and the course will take you past Atlanta City Hall, the Olympic Torch, Center Parc Stadium (the former Turner Field) and the Hank Aaron Wall, Grant Park, the Georgia Tech campus and Bobby Dodd Stadium.

You’ll receive a Hot Chocolate Run jacket and, at the finish line, you’ll get a commemorative medal and finisher mug filled with chocolate fondue and tasty items to dip as well as a cup of hot chocolate. Then get ready to enjoy your treats and party at Centennial Olympic Park with music and vendors.
For more perks, join the Cocoa Club when you register, and you’ll receive extra swag such as a tote bag and blanket, VIP preferred “corral placement” (the designated starting area assigned to based on the runner’s estimated finishing time) and access to the Cocoa Club Lounge.
Pick up your race packet at the Hot Chocolate Expo, where you can get a head start on the fun with more chocolate, shop for race merchandise and visit vendors. The Expo will take place from noon-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the Southern Exchange Ballrooms, the Cellar, 200 Peachtree St., Atlanta.
