The new few weeks should be filled with fun and memorable experiences enjoyed with the ones you love. Chateau Elan Winery and Resort built a life-size gingerbread house that can help you fill out that schedule, bringing a whimsical experience to you and your family.

Made with more than 450 pounds of gingerbread dough, 350 pounds of powdered sugar and 24 pounds of egg whites, this gingerbread house is perfect for holiday photo-ops and hangouts with friends. The house has 15 pounds of gumdrops, 5 pounds of gummy bears and 4½ pounds of gummy rings. It is also adorned with 900 hand-piped roof tiles.

The house was built by the resort’s team of pastry artisans. In a news release, the resort said the team “turned sugar, spice, and everything nice into an enchanting holiday centerpiece.”

If seeing the display makes you crave a sweet treat of your own, hot cocoa is served daily from inside the edible structure.

“The life-size gingerbread house is more than a festive display,” according to the news release from Chateau Elan. “It’s a celebration of teamwork, craftsmanship, and the sweet joy of the holiday season.”

About an hour outside of Atlanta, the North Georgia resort and winery has become a go-to destination for great food and drink in the area. With an ice-skating rink, nature trails and eight restaurants onsite, Chateau Elan is a good place for a great winter getaway.
