The Super Bowl LIII Experience, the NFL's interactive theme park, is scheduled to open as planned on Jan. 29 despite the winter storm forecast that could bring snow and ice to the metro area.

Early Monday, on-site representatives said there were no plans to close the event which is scheduled to open Tuesday at 3 p.m. However, event officials also noted that it was still early in the day and those plans could change.

Several metro Atlanta school districts have already cancelled classes in anticipation of the storm. Gov. Brian Kemp closed state offices in several North Georgia counties including Fulton County.

The Super Bowl LIII Experience is a ticketed event located in the Georgia World Congress Center which allows fans to participate in a range of games and view several exhibits during Super Bowl week.

The activities including training like pros in simulated football drills as well as getting an up-close look at the rings from the 52 Super Bowls and taking photos with the Vince Lombardi trophy.
