Mike Luck is an Audience Specialist on the sports team at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Mike seeks out news that will be of interest to the AJC’s audience, using metrics, reader feedback, and his experience to make decisions on how best to share compelling content on the AJC’s web sites, social media and in the print edition.
Mike has worked at the AJC since 1980, most of the tenure spent with the sports team in several capacities. He has experience as a writer, editor, copy editor, digital producer and audience specialist. Mike was working for the AJC when Herschel Walker was a freshman at UGA in 1980, Georgia Tech won a national title in football in 1990, the Braves played in Fulton County Stadium and won the World Series, the Falcons wore red helmets and played outside, Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ear, Dominique Wilkins dunked at UGA and for the Hawks, Atlanta had hockey teams, the Olympics were held in Atlanta and much more.
