Winning the Stanley Cup and defending their title as NHL Champions wasn’t easy for the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday night at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

For the first 58:25 of play in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, neither the Penguins nor Nashville Predators would yield a goal.

With 1:35 remaining in the game, Penguins’ Patric Hornqvist scored the goal that put the Pens up 1-0.

Penguins’ fans inside and outside Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena lost their minds after Hornqvist scored the first official goal of the game.

Nashville’s Colton Sissons scored a goal for the Predators in the second period, but referees said the goal didn’t count because of an early whistle.

Leading by one, the Penguins weren’t done yet.

With less than 20 seconds remaining in the third period, Carl Hagelin scored one more goal for the Penguins on a breakaway.

Way to go, Penguins.
