Former N.C. State defensive end Bradley Chubb was drafted fifth-overall by the Denver Broncos Thursday night in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Chubb, who played at Hillgrove High before going on to start at N.C. State, recorded 198 total tackles, 54.5 tackles for loss, 25 sacks, one interception, six forced fumbles and four deflected passes during his collegiate career.

“Top 5!” Chubb wrote on Twitter. “Thank you (Denver Broncos) for giving me the opportunity to live out my dream of playing in the (NFL).”

Chubb, cousin of former Georiga running back Nick Chubb who was not selected in the first round, will compete with Broncos pass rushers Von Miller, Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett.
