The South united behind Atlanta United

The South is divided with many different opinions like which type barbecue sauce is best and which football team deserves to be crowned SEC champion in the fall, but everyone seems to agree that Atlanta United is becoming the team of the South.

According to a fan survey that polled over 4,000 soccer fans on MLS Reddit, support for Atlanta United has already reached beyond Georgia's borders into parts of Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee after only three regular season matches.

Atlanta United has a 2-1 record in the regular season with the next match against the Seattle Sounders FC in Seattle March 31.

Atlanta United's Martinez may have injury

Atlanta United's next home game is on April 30 against DC United. Atlanta United's last two home games at Bobby Dodd Stadium have been reported as sell outs.
