Spieth finds trouble, goes gardening, moves fans, hits a tree, scrambles twice and mellows -- all on one hole

Former University of Texas golfer Jordan Spieth takes advantage of the "loose impediments" rule, and does some grounds keeping before placing his ball for a second shot on the nettlesome 10th hole Friday in the PGA Championship in Charlotte, N.C.

Jordan Spieth faces an uphill battle in his quest to become the sixth golfer to achieve a career Grand Slam, but where he looked for several minutes Friday to have canceled his chances to win the PGA Championship, the former Longhorn somehow saved himself a bogey on the 10th hole.

Here's riveting Youtube video of Spieth, who won three tournaments while playing one season for Texas in 2001-'12 before turning professional, wanking a tee shot right and many more bad things.

He dropped twice and then placed his ball in a preferred spot that he had groomed before screw-driving his second shot into more pine straw, hitting his third shot off a tree limb, threading his fourth just shy of a bunker, and then chipping close and putting for bogey on what could’ve been a quadruple if not worse.

It’s not like Spieth hasn’t played remarkable golf before.

There was the British Open.

Where he had some help.

This Dallas native seems to have a good idea what he’s doing, even if occasionally things or shots go astray.
