Social media reacts to Trae Young’s summer league debut

Trae Young’s Hawks career may only be two summer league games in, but that hasn’t stopped people from voicing their critiques.
Young may well go down as the most scrutinized Hawks draft pick in recent history, given the position he was taken and the prospect he was traded for. Two summer league games in, that already seems apparent.

Unfortunately for Young, his shot started to falter after warm-ups.

Trae Young's stats through two summer league games: 28 points on 9/36 (25%) over all and 2/16 (12.5%) from three. 6 assists and 5 turnovers. Is there a word harsher than ABYSMAL that I could use @ATLHawks_Reddit

Fans reacted accordingly.

I wouldn't dare call any player a bust before they've played an NBA game

But
A. Trae Young shot selection is ludicrous for anyone not named Steph Curry
B. I've never saw anything from him that would've warranted trading a player that's proven against professional talent for him
Of course, it hasn’t all been bad for the 19-year-old point guard. He has, after all, only played two summer league games.

Trae Young throws passes that no one on the Hawks roster has thrown in a long time.

Loved what I saw with Trae Young in his debut. He got every shot he wanted anytime he wanted. Out of 15 pre reads he made 14 correct reads 14/15= 93%, multiple defensive deflections, and got to the line 10 times, Don’t read me boxscores, study the tape. #Yoda pic.twitter.com/284i3YWNL5
