Paralyzed Southern University player, Devon Gales was spotted on the sidelines at today's Falcons (8-7) game against the New Orleans Saints (6-9) at the Georgia Dome.

The Falcons tweeted a photo of Gales and his family posing on the sidelines with Falcons head coach Dan Quinn about an hour before kick-off.

Gales was paralyzed while blocking during a kickoff return on Sept. 26, in a game against the Georgia Bulldogs.

In the months since, Gales, 22,  has endured surgery to stabilize his broken neck, a prognosis that he likely will never walk and long weeks away from home while laboring at Atlanta's Shepherd Center to regain some movement in his quieted limbs.
