NFL Photos: Cowboys' practice facility collapses

Five Cowboys staff members were injured when the roof collapsed at the team's practice facility Saturday in Irving, Texas.

At least 12 people -- which included, coaches, players and media personnel -- were injured in the incident. Ten of the injured were taken by emergency vehicles. Two others went to hospitals on their own.

Cowboys football staff and team members search for trapped team and staff under the wreckage of the collapsed indoor facility. Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said a couple of players suffered minor injuries.

Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis was among at least 12 people injured Saturday. DeCamillis directed the special teams for the Atlanta Falcons from 1997-2006. Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said that DeCamillis sustained a neck inury, was stabilized and taken to an area hospital by ambulance.

Dallas Cowboys staff and team members find a trapped staff member under the wreckage of the canopy. The storm hit while 27 players were going through workouts during a rookie minicamp. There were about 70 people total in the facility at the time.

Cowboys rookie tight end John Phillips helps search for trapped teammates. Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple said all of the players and coaches were accounted for, and he didn't know the extent of the injuries to the staff members, who were hospitalized.

The collapsed canopy that covered the Cowboys' indoor football facility lays tattered after a passing storm knocked it down. According to the Dallas Morning News, the air-supported roof of the facility collapsed about 3:30 p.m. as a violent thunderstorm unleashed 64-mph winds on the facility.
