Hip-hop artist and Atlanta native Quavo couldn’t hide his excitement for Trae Young becoming a member of the Atlanta Hawks.

After the Hawks traded No. 3 overall pick Luka Doncica to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for a 2019 first-round pick and the former Oklahoma guard during Thursday’s NBA Draft, Quavo welcomed Young to Atlanta.

“Trae Young to (the Atlanta Hawks),” Quavo wrote. “(Atlanta’s) own slash brotha culture is behind you.”

Young discussed interactions he’s had with Quavo during his post-Draft press conference and what the Migos member has told him about Atlanta.

“I know it’s a great city,” Young said of Atlanta. “I’ve heard a lot from Quavo and Migos and them. But overall I want to get to know more stuff about the city, but I know a little bit.”
