Wesleyan quarterback Conor Welton will play his final football game soon. That's because he's looking to play baseball at the next level.
Welton, a left-handed hitter on the baseball team, signed a baseball scholarship with Georgia this week.
Last spring, Welton hit .404 with 10 home runs, 27 RBIs and 21 stolen bases for a team that went 28-9. In football this season, Welton has completed 80 of 110 passes for 1,288 yards with 22 touchdowns and only three interceptions for the No. 1-ranked Wolves.
Welton's father, Chris Welton, was a starting defensive back for Georgia's 1980 national championship team.
