Madison Morgan County was solid, but not good enough, on Friday, as Harlem prevailed 34-17 in a Georgia high school football matchup.

Neither team dominated early as the two squads struggled evenly to a 7-7 tie through the first quarter.

Harlem fought to a 21-10 halftime margin at Madison Morgan County’s expense.

Each offense authored its Rip Van Winkle imitation, napping through a barren third quarter.

The clock was the only thing that stopped Harlem, who enjoyed the upper hand in a 13-7 fourth quarter, too.
