Each winning head coach of the Falcons Coach of the Week, presented by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, receives a $1,000 grant for their program, a commemorative Falcons item and recognition from the Falcons and AJC at a game this season. The nominees are:
- Christian Grier led the Columbus girls flag football team to a state playoff appearance last season.
- Leroy Hood, who took over at Pebblebrook in 2019, has the Cobb County school ranked for the first time since 2003.
- Kevious Johnson, a former offensive coordinator at Coffee, joined Turner County last season and defeated Clinch County for the first time since 2012.
The NFL and Atlanta Falcons will recognize 10 head high school varsity tackle and girls flag football coaches across the states of Georgia and Alabama throughout the 2021 season with the Coach of the Week award, presented by the AJC, for their work in making a difference in student-athletes lives on-and-off the field.
