Last week: Beat Effingham County 21-18. Brunswick took a 21-3 lead into halftime, then held on. Effingham County didn’t get into Brunswick’s red zone after getting within three points in the fourth quarter. Chuckobe Hill rushed for 89 yards on 12 carries. Brunswick led 216-149 in total yards. Last week: Lost to Sandy Creek 40-35. Cedar Grove got off to a 35-13 lead on Rashod Dubinion’s three touchdowns, Barry Jackson’s 87-yard kickoff return and blocked punts by Bernard Mack and Adonijah Green but failed to hold the lead. Last week: Beat Cedar Grove 40-35. Sandy Creek overcame a 35-13 deficit in the second half and took the lead on Geimere Latimer’s 4-yard run with about three minutes left. Latimer was 24-of-41 passing for 311 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 77 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. Miles Thompson had 10 receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
