Frank Vohun, former head coach at four Georgia schools, dies at 74

Frank Vohun, former head coach at four Georgia schools, died this week at age 74.

Vohun coached at Villa Rica (1990-97), Washington-Wilkes (1998-2001), Lee County (2002-03) and Haralson County (2005-2016).

Vohun’s 2000 Washington-Wilkes team lost to Americus in the Class 2A championship game and featured Daccus Turman, who broke Herschel Walker’s single-season rushing record.

Vohun had suffered from dementia, according to his obituary.
