In Maurice Dixon’s first season at Creekside in 2017, the team went 0-10. The Week 6 Falcons Coach of the Week, presented by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, has since led the Seminoles to two region titles and to think team first.

He told the AJC earlier this season: “We play Creekside football. We run the football, play great defense and play fast and physical. We have some talented guys, but the strength of our team and the reason for our success is we play for Creekside, not individual success. Nobody cares who makes the play, who scores the touchdown. Our kids just want to do everything it takes to win.”

Each winner of the Coach of the Week program receives a $1,000 grant for their football program, a commemorative Falcons item and recognition from the Falcons and Atlanta Journal-Constitution. | Nominate a coach
