Hawks games will be broadcast on radio over 97.9 FM beginning next season, and the Thrashers will remain on 680 AM, according to an announcement made by the teams, Cumulus Media and Dickey Broadcasting Company on Monday. The agreement, to air all regular and postseason games for both teams, is a multi-year deal.

The Hawks will move to an FM broadcast for the first time in the team’s 42-year history in Atlanta. Steve Holman will remain as the team radio voice. The Thrashers remain on 680 The Fan for a sixth season, with Dan Kamal continuing to call games.
