AUGUSTA — Betting favorites to win the 2025 Masters Tournament include former winners Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm and headliners including Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa seeking a first green jacket.

The 89th edition of the tournament runs from Thursday to Sunday, April 10-13. Five-time champion Tiger Woods will not compete after surgery last month for an injured Achilles tendon.

Scheffler, winner of two of the past three Masters, is expected to practice and speak to the media on Tuesday.

Henley is the highest-ranked Bulldog at No. 7 in the world. He’ll be making his ninth Masters start and has made the cut in his last seven appearances, with a career-best T-4 in 2023.

  • Chris Kirk +25000

Kirk, a Woodstock native, will be playing in the Masters for the sixth time and has top-25 finishes the last two years. He finished T-16 in 2024.

  • Sepp Straka +7500

Straka will make his fourth start at the Masters. He has made the cut in each previous visit and had a career-best T-16 in 2024.

  • Davis Thompson +11000

Thompson, born in Atlanta, will make his Masters debut.

Harman, a Savannah native, will make his seventh Masters start. His best finish was T-12 in 2021.

Georgia Tech golf’s Hiroshi Tai

Hiroshi Tai (+150000) is the latest in a long line of Georgia Tech amateurs in the Masters field.

Tai qualified by winning the 2024 NCAA championship. Former Tech amateurs at the Masters include Matt Kuchar, Andy Ogletree, Tyler Strafaci and Christo Lamprecht.

Bobby Jones, a Tech graduate, was co-founder of Augusta National and the tournament.

Why is Tiger Woods not playing in the 2025 Masters?

Woods, 49, underwent surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon in March.

“I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support,” the five-time Masters champion wrote in a social media post.

Woods hasn’t played in a PGA Tour event since the Open Championship last July. He finished 60th at the 2024 Masters after injuries forced him to withdraw the previous year.
