The PGA Tour's season-ending Tour Championship began Thursday at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

Tiger Woods will remain the only two-time winner of the FedEx Cup.

Rory McIlroy, who won the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup last year in Atlanta, went winless on the PGA Tour and did not qualify to defend his FedEx Cup title.

Jordan Spieth, the 2015 winner, leads the top five contenders -- Justin ThomasDustin Johnson, Marc Leishman, and John Rahm --  in the battle for the extra $10 million FedEx Cup bonus to be awarded this weekend.
