Georgia Tech has picked up an 11th FBS transfer this offseason.

Melvin Jordan IV, a linebacker, will reportedly joins the Yellow Jackets for the 2025 season. Jordan (5-11, 225) spent three seasons at Oregon State and is originally from St. Petersburg, Florida.

Jordan was fourth among Beavers in 2024 with 45 tackles in 10 games. The sophomore had 22 tackles in 2023 after playing in three games in redshirting in 2022.

In 2024, Jordan was OSU’s highest-graded defender, according to Pro Football Focus, the team’s highest-graded run defender and highest-graded player in pass coverage.

Jordan was considered a three-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite, in the class of 2022 and reportedly had nearly 20 scholarship offers. The Calvary Christian graduate had 76 tackles as a senior and his brother, Makkah Jordan, played safety at Georgia State before transferring to Garden City Community College.

Jordan joins Tennessee Tech linebacker Cayden Spaulding, Central Florida defensive tackle Matthew Alexander, tight ends Harry Lodge (Wake Forest) and J.T. Byrne (California), Florida International wide receivers Dean Patterson and Eric Rivers, South Carolina wide receiver Debron Gatling, North Carolina offensive lineman Andrew Rosinski, Alabama-Birmingham defensive back Kelvin Hill and Eastern Michigan defensive back Daiquan White as players who plan to transfer to Tech for the ‘25 season.
