One of the nation’s top centers in the 2025 signing class will make his college commitment announcement Thursday, and Georgia Tech ranks among that player’s top choices.

Mouhamed Sylla will pick between Tech, Arkansas and Oregon at 5:30 p.m. Thursday on 247Sports.com. Sylla is considered a four-star prospect and ranked as the No. 20 center recruit in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Originally from Senegal, Sylla (6-foot-10, 240 pounds) reportedly took a recruiting visit to Tech in October. He currently attends Bella Visa Prep in Scottsdale, Arizona, and has also attended the NBA Academy Latin America in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and the SEED Academy in Senegal.

Sylla began to turn heads in July at the NCAA College Basketball Academy in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and his recruitment took off from there. Also, Kansas and Washington reportedly have been recruiting Sylla.

Tech currently has four players signed to join the program in 2025 in guards Akai Fleming (Overtime Elite) and Eric Chatman Jr. (Pace Academy), forward Brandon Stores (Bronx, New York) and center Cole Kirouac (Overtime Elite). Kirouac originally signed with Tech for the 2024-25 season before reclassifying to Tech’s ’25 class, a class currently ranked 23rd nationally and fifth among ACC programs.

Tech also has one player committed toward the 2026 signing class in center Moustapha Diop (Overtime Elite).
