The Yellow Jackets have known who they will play in 2025. Now they know when.
The ACC announced Monday the dates for league matchups in 2025 for all 17 member schools, including Georgia Tech. Five of Tech’s 12 games for the 2025 season had previously been announced.
After the season opener at Colorado on Aug. 30, Tech has three straight home games against Gardner-Webb, Clemson and Temple, respectively, in September. Colorado is coming off a 9-4 season and Clemson went 10-4 and won the ACC championship in December.
On Sept. 27, Tech will face its first ACC road challenge of the season when it heads to Wake Forest. The Jackets have won 24 of the previous 32 meetings, including four in a row. The Demon Deacons were 4-8 last season.
The Jackets start the month of October with a bye which will give them extra time to rest and prepare for Virginia Tech on Oct. 11 in Atlanta. The Hokies went 6-7 last season and beat Tech 21-6 in Blacksburg, Virginia. Virginia Tech last visited Bobby Dodd Stadium in 2021.
On Oct. 18, Tech will travel to Duke to play the Blue Devils for the 92nd time in 93 seasons. The two programs had met every year between 1933-2022.
The Jackets beat Duke 24-14 at Bobby Dodd Stadium in October. The Blue Devils went into that game 5-0 and would go on to finish 9-4.
Tech’s October ends with a rematch with Syracuse, 31-28 winners over a ranked-Tech team in September at the JMA Wireless Dome in New York. The Orange, which finished 10-3, have been to Atlanta in 2023 and 2013 and lost both trips.
Tech has three ACC games in November and two of the three will be on the road. The first test is scheduled for Nov. 1 when the Jackets travel to North Carolina State for the first time since 2020. The Wolfpack were 6-7 in 2024.
After a bye week, Tech travels to Boston College (7-6 in 2024) on Nov. 15. The Jackets have lost three in a row to the Eagles and last played in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, in 2020.
Tech will end its ACC slate Nov. 22 when it hosts Pittsburgh, a team it has only beaten six times in 17 tries. The Panthers went 7-6 in 2024 and last came to Atlanta in 2021.
On Nov. 28, Tech ends its regular season with its annual meeting against rival Georgia, this time at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Jackets have lost seven consecutive to the Bulldogs, including an eight-overtime, 44-42 defeat in November in Athens at Sanford Stadium.
Tech is coming off two consecutive 7-6 seasons and back-to-back 5-3 marks in ACC play. The Jackets finished tied for fourth in 2024 and in 2023.
