Georgia Tech coach Brent Key reportedly is set to add two members to his coaching staff, FootballScoop.com reported Wednesday.

Kobie Jones will join the staff as the team’s cornerbacks coach, while Mike Polly will fill a support role with the offensive coaches.

Jones was a graduate assistant this season at Alabama and assisted in coaching the Crimson Tide’s cornerbacks. He played quarterback and defensive back at Alabama A&M under coach Donald Hill-Eley, who now is Tech’s chief of staff.

Having also coached at IMG Academy in Florida, Jones fills a role vacated by former Tech special-teams coordinator Ricky Brumfield, who resigned from Tech in October. Brumfield also coached Tech’s cornerbacks during the 2024 season before his departure.

Polly comes to Atlanta from Middle Tennessee, where he had been from 2013-23 as well as 2007-09. While there he worked with current Tech offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner from 2011-15 and current Tech guard Keylan Rutledge.
