Daiquan White, a former defensive back at Eastern Michigan, announced Friday via X, formerly Twitter, that he plans to play for Georgia Tech in 2025.

A 5-foot-10, 172-pound sophomore, White played a team-high 660 snaps for the Eagles this season and was the team’s third-highest rated defender, according to Pro Football Focus, among Eastern Michigan players who logged at least 500 plays. White made 30 tackles and broke up six passes in 12 games.

In 2023, White played 558 snaps over 13 games. He made 19 tackles and broke up 12 passes.

White graduated Creekside High School in Fairburn and was considered a three-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite in the class of 2023. He reportedly had 20 scholarship offers, including ones from Tech, Arkansas, Florida State, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee and Virginia Tech, among others.

White had 68 tackles and an interception as a senior and played in the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-Star game in 2022.
