Georgia Tech added its second wide receiver to its 2023 recruiting class Monday as Bryce Dopson of Brookwood High announced his commitment via social media.

Dopson, an accomplished three-sport athlete who has also been recruited for track, picked up his scholarship offer from Tech in October, his first from a power conference school. He has also announced offers from Army, Georgia State and Stetson.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Dopson is unusual in that he has also excelled at swimming and track. He finished third in the 50-yard freestyle in the Class 7A state swimming meet in February and in May placed second in the 300-meter hurdles in the Class 7A state track and field championship.

Dopson is a three-star prospect (247Sports). He is the second receiver to commit to Tech for this year’s signing class, joining another Gwinnett County prospect, Zion Taylor at Norcross High. The class, now with 15 players, was ranked 58th (247Sports Composite) in FBS and 12th in the ACC as of Monday evening.

Dopson is the third prospect to commit to Tech since its coaching change. The team has also had four players withdraw their commitment in that same period.
