Fox Sports South to launch augmented reality technology during 2018 Braves coverage

Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Southeast will launch augmented reality technology during live studio coverage, the network announced Thursday.

An example of the technology can be seen below:

The launch will start with 2018 Braves regular season coverage.

Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Southeast will be the first Fox Sports regional network to utilize the technology.

“Augmented reality is the latest addition to our many cutting edge production enhancements to fulfill our commitment in providing the very best fan experience in sports television,” senior vice president and general manager Jeff Genthner said in a statement.
