Former Sprayberry running back Trey Sermon, who scored 13 touchdowns two seasons ago at Oklahoma, says he has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

The 6-foot, 221-pound Sermon said in a tweet that he was entering the portal as a graduate transfer, which would mean he’d be eligible to play at another school immediately.

Sermon ran for 744 yards as a freshman in 2017 and 947 as a sophomore. He carried the ball twice for 34 yards, one a 31-yarder, against Georgia in the Rose Bowl.

But Sermon played less in 2019 and suffered a knee injury and finished with just 54 carries for 385 yards and four touchdowns.

He was recruited by Georgia while at Sprayberry but chose the Sooners.
