Here's what Matt Schaub had to say after the 37-10 loss to the Rams (Matt Ryan didn't speak to the media because of his injury):

On the injury to Matt Ryan: "I wouldn't want anything to happen to any player — let alone, a guy I have been around for four years now. Hopefully, it's not too serious and we will see what the doctors say, but I feel for him. I have been injured before and hate to see that happen."

On his ability to step in: "That's my role. If I am called upon and I have to step in, whether it be in practice, games, or anything like that, I will be there for my guys."

On Coach Quinn's postgame speech: "There is not much to say. Everyone has got to look in the mirror, focus on their job, and find what they can each do individually to help us get a win in our next game."

On why the offense struggled: "Well, we were playing a good defense with a good front. They were doing some different things than we saw on film. We would take a step forward and then take a step back with a penalty or a negative play. We have to find a way to be consistent."

On the Rams pass rush: "I think with where they put guys and the matchups that they bring, they were able to understand our protection schemes and are able to prevent slides from happening by putting linebackers in certain spots. That is something that Wade Phillips has always been good about."

On his experiences in the NFL: "The big thing is one day at a time. We have to figure out tonight, each person when they go home, how we can be better. We have to come in tomorrow with that mindset and Tuesday, and so on. You just have to put the blinders on and focus on what is right in front of you, and that is the next day."
