If you’re looking for insight from Falcons rookie defensive end Takkarist McKinley, don’t go to his social media accounts.

To focus on football, McKinley imposed a “social media blackout” for himself.

“It had to go,” McKinley said of his Twitter and Instagram accounts on Wednesday. “Sometimes social media and video games can become a distraction.”

McKinley said he wasn’t upset by the sometimes obnoxious posters on social media.

“It just became a distraction for me,” McKinley said.

McKinley was well-liked on Twitter, as some fans have noted his closed @Takk Twitter account.

Say it ain't true Tak. Your post be hilarious at times.
