Falcons defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel couldn’t contain himself when thinking about the notion of getting defensive tackle Grady Jarrett back from his ankle injury.

Jarrett returned to practice Thursday and barring a setback, will return against the New York Giants on Monday night.

“Grady is a spark,” Manuel said. “He’s going to come in and do his job for 60 minutes.”

Then Manuel got excited.

“He’s a truck driver,” Manuel said. “The truck driver is going to always been there. When you pull out on the road you are always going to see a truck.

“The truck driver is always going to be there. He brings that toughest and consistency. You understand what to expect from him.”
