Shepley Heard, a longtime Falcons scout, was promoted to director of pro personnel on Friday.

Heard recently completed his 14th season with the Falcons and his sixth as a regional scout.

Also, Joel Collier, who completed his fourth season with the team, was moved in the role of national scout. He was assistant general manager of the Chiefs from 2009-13.
