Famous alumni: Colin Kaepernick (football player, activist), JaVale McGee (basketball player) and Nate Burleson (NFL Network analyst and former football player).

Number of appearances in the NCAA Tournament: The Nevada Wolfpack has eight NCAA Tournament appearances (1984, 1985, 2004-2007, 2017, 2018) and has made it to the Sweet 16 one before in 2004.
