Here are a few things you might not know about the University of Nevada:

Location: Reno, Nev.

Founded: 1974

Enrollment: 21,657

Famous alumni: Colin Kaepernick (football player, activist), JaVale McGee (basketball player) and Nate Burleson (NFL Network analyst and former football player).

Number of appearances in the NCAA Tournament: The Nevada Wolfpack has eight NCAA Tournament appearances (1984, 1985, 2004-2007, 2017, 2018) and has made it to the Sweet 16 one before in 2004.

Nevada tips off against No. 11 Loyola University- Chicago Thursday at 7:07 p.m. at Philips Arena.
