Fans react to Vince McMahon’s relaunch of XFL

Only Vince McMahon could start 2018 off with a bang like this.
On Thursday, the WWE Chairman held a press conference where he announced the planned return of the XFL, a controversial football league originally founded by McMahon in 1999. The league played a single season in 2001 before folding.
The new league is scheduled to begin playing in January 2020 with eight teams located throughout the country and a 10-week season.
McMahon said the XFL won’t have the same cheap gimmicks as its predecessor and won’t become a forum for players to voice their personal stances.
Here is what fans thought about the big announcement:
I hope Robert Griffin III's XFL jersey has "RG3 HATE ME" across the back

McMahon shouldn't just done that press conference in a red Make America Great Again hat to make sure he really got the message across.

Hey @VinceMcMahon, I’d like to become an owner of one of the #XFL teams. I think Indianapolis would love the #XFL... also, gonna need a pretty large loan as well. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/gvtKyG97Yq

The XFL needs heads coaches. Sometimes you've gotta go back to move forward.

Yes, #XFL is back! Tim Tebow can be a star again. Only he will have to change his name to He Loves Me!
