What’s happening outside the Dome before Saturday’s game

Chick-fil-A Kickoff game organizers say the action Saturday will commence hours before the start of the Georgia-North Carolina game:

  • FanZone, located at Hall C of the Georgia World Congress Center, next door to the Georgia Dome, will be open from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. It will include interactive games, sponsor activities, contests, give-aways and pep rallies. Highlights will include the "Team Walks" — Georgia's Dawg Walk and North Carolina's Victory Walk — when the players arrive at approximately 3 p.m. Admission for FanZone is included in the cost of a game ticket.
  • Tailgate Town, a free event located outside at the Congress Center's west plaza, will feature live entertainment, food samples and sponsor displays from 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. A large high-definition TV screen will be set up for watching other college football games.
  • Nearby, the College Football Hall of Fame will offer a 15-percent discount on tickets.
