Numbers can lie, but after six games, it's worth a look at how No. 2-ranked Georgia and No. 13-ranked LSU matchup in their Saturday game (3:30 p.m., CBS; News 95.5 and AM-750 WSB) at Tiger Stadium.

The Bulldogs (6-0, 4-0 SEC) opened as an 8 1/2-point favorite over the Tigers (5-1, 2-1), who are coming off their first loss of the year, a 27-19 at the hands of No. 14 Florida.

Georgia doesn’t have any wins against currently ranked teams, and a case was being made last week that LSU deserved a higher ranking based on the Tigers’ wins over ranked opponents Miami and Auburn.

While the Bulldogs have yet to face a challenge, they’ve dominated in the fashion one might expect of a championship contender.

Georgia has trailed only once this season — for 15 seconds in the first quarter against Vanderbilt — and the Bulldogs have won each game by two touchdowns or more.

Here are how the teams compare in the national statical rankings, with the country’s top team in each category also listed:
