Former UGA linebacker Roquan Smith was selected by the Chicago Bears with the No. 8 overall pick in the NFL draft Thursday.

Smith becomes the second UGA defensive player in the last three years selected in the top 10 of the draft. Leonard Floyd was selected No. 9 overall by Chicago in 2016.
