Georgia Tech’s right offensive tackle job is available for the taking, coach Paul Johnson said Wednesday. Bryan Chamberlain entered camp as the leader at that position. After Wednesday’s morning practice, Johnson said that he thinks Chris Griffin will be the left tackle, “but I don’t know who the other one is.”

Errin Joe is another option, but has been injured. Johnson mentioned two true freshmen Trey Klock and Jake Stickler, and walk-on Kyle Stallard as possibilities.

At A-back, where a number of experienced returnees are competing, Johnson said that “Deon Hill’s doing well” and that “Tony Zenon’s having a really good camp.” He added that “B.J. Bostic’s doing O.K.”

Hill started three games last year but missed three games with a Crohn’s disease diagnosis and then sat out all of spring practice after surgery to treat his condition.

In the competition to back up B-back Zach Laskey, Johnson said that freshman C.J. Leggett was “doing some good things” and that Matt Connors, No. 2 on the depth chart, was “serviceable” and “does some good things.” Donovan Wilson is also in the mix.
