Quarterback TaQuon Marshall, defensive end Anree Saint-Amour and return specialist Juanyeh Thomas were named Georgia Tech’s players of the week for their performance in the win over Bowling Green on Saturday.

Marshall was effective running the option, helping the Yellow Jackets gain 372 rushing yards against the Falcons. Marshall was also 5-for-6 passing for 160 yards.

“He played his best game; he played well,” coach Paul Johnson said. “He didn’t have a big stat game other than throwing, but he played well. He pitched the ball, ran the offense, kept the ball off the ground, did what he needed to do to help us win.”

Saint-Amour had 2.5 tackles for loss, including a sack, a quarterback hurry and returned an interception three yards for a touchdown. He created consistent pass-rush pressure on Bowling Green quarterback Jarret Doege. Thomas returned three kickoffs for 62 yards. One of the returns went 96 yards for a touchdown, but was called back on a holding penalty.
