A day after adding the 11th member of its 2019 recruiting class, Georgia Tech received commitments from two more prospects Wednesday– cornerback Wesley Walker from Nashville, Tenn., and two-way lineman Jamal Camp from South Forsyth High.
Both made their announcements on their Twitter accounts. Both have connections on the Yellow Jackets roster. Camp is the younger brother of wide receiver Jalen Camp. Walker attends Ensworth School, the alma mater of incoming freshman cornerback Jaylon King.
Camp, a three-star prospect rated the No. 88 defensive tackle nationally and the No. 127 player in the state of Georgia (247 Sports composite) also holds scholarship offers from Tennessee and Tulane. Camp, listed at 6-foot-1.5 and 270 pounds, announced his scholarship offer from Tech on Monday. The commitment class has one offensive tackle (Larry Dowdy from Belmont, N.C.) and another two-way lineman, Stephenson High's Joshua Black, who committed Tuesday.
Walker, a three-star prospect listed at 6-0.5 and 187 pounds, listed offers from LSU, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee, among others. He is rated the No. 46 cornerback in the class (247Sports Composite). By national ranking (No. 496), he is the highest-rated prospect to commit to Tech’s 2019 class. He was offered by Tech in January. He is the first cornerback in the group.
